In 2025, Petzold’s Marine Center, a family-owned marine group serving boaters throughout New England and beyond since 1945, acquired Port Clinton Marina with a clear vision: to build on what made the marina special while creating an even better experience for boaters, families, and the greater Clinton community.
Since then, Petzold’s has been hard at work improving the property from the docks up. New bathrooms, showers, and laundry facilities offer greater comfort and convenience for boaters and marina guests, while new grills and outdoor dining areas create more places to relax, gather, and make new memories by the water.
Because a great marina is about more than where you keep your boat, these improvements were designed to help create the moments that make boating memorable—summer dinners by the docks, morning coffees and sunrises on the water, and weekends spent with family and friends.

Petzold’s has made major investments in the marina’s docks and infrastructure to create a safer, more dependable home for every boat on the property.
New docks and ongoing improvements are part of a larger, long-term commitment to the marina. The work is continuing as they thoughtfully upgrade the property and ensure Petzold’s Port Clinton Marina remains a place boaters can feel confident returning to season after season.

One of the most important additions to the marina are the on-site boat repair and maintenance team.
The factory-trained marine technicians regularly complete rigorous additional training to stay current with the engines, systems, and technology found on today’s boats. With experienced technicians working directly at the marina, many repairs and maintenance services can be completed more quickly and conveniently than before.
In some cases, that can mean resolving an issue without a customer missing a single weekend of boating.
