Seasonal Yard Worker
Love being outdoors and around boats? Petzold’s Port Clinton Marina is looking for a dependable Yard Worker to join our haul-out crew in Clinton, CT.
This is a seasonal position supporting our busy fall haul-out and winter storage season, with the potential for a full-time opportunity for the right individual. You will work alongside our yard team in a hands-on, fast-paced marina environment.
Responsibilities include
- Pressure washing boat bottoms as boats are hauled for winter storage
- Assisting with launching and hauling boats
- Helping block, place, stage and move boats throughout the yard
- Assisting with bottom painting and general boatyard work
- Supporting site and facility winterization
- Helping maintain a clean, safe and organised property
- Assisting the yard and service teams as needed
What we’re looking for
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather
- Able to perform physical work and some heavy lifting
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
- Ability to work safely around boats and heavy equipment
- Previous marina or boatyard experience is a plus
Experience operating hydraulic trailers, travel lifts and forklifts is preferred but not required. A positive attitude, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn go a long way.
