Instead of coordinating several different companies and spending hours or days of your time getting ready for boating season or bringing it to an end, you can work directly with the Petzold’s team throughout the process and ease through the change of the seasons.

Boat Pickup for Winterization and Winter Storage

When the boating season ends, we can arrange to pick up your boat and transport it to Petzold’s Port Clinton Marina.

Once it arrives, our service team can prepare it for the colder months with professional winterization based on the vessel’s engines, equipment and onboard systems. The boat can then be shrink wrapped and placed in outdoor winter storage on our marina grounds, or indoor storage at our nearby Petzold’s Marine Center in Portland, CT if available.

If you plan on storing elsewhere, we can also deliver your boat back to the approved location.

Because every boat is different, the exact services required will depend on its size, propulsion, systems, equipment and maintenance history.

Spring Commissioning and Launch

When spring arrives, we can prepare your boat for another amazing season on the water.

Spring commissioning may include reactivating systems that were winterized, inspecting accessible equipment, checking fluid levels, reconnecting batteries and completing other seasonal services appropriate for the vessel.

Petzold’s Port Clinton will get your boat out of storage with us, or plan to pick up your winterized boat at an approved location.

After spring commissioning is complete, we can launch your boat here at Petzold’s Port Clinton Marina or coordinate return delivery to an approved boating destination.

Your boat can be ready where you need it and when you need it, without requiring you to manage every step yourself.
